As a teenager, Little Willie G headed up an East L.A. band referred to as “the Chicano Beatles”. Thee Midniters’ sound defined Chicano rock music and Chicano culture throughout the 60s and beyond. Willie would fall prey to the dark side of the music industry and develop a problem with drugs and alcohol. His testimony and music was one of the only cassettes we had in my rehab and I really got into his music. Today, Willie has overcome all of those problems through a relationship with God, started a ministry and continues to perform all over the country.
